Liposomal Cinnamon, Clove & Oregano

A potent, broad-spectrum botanical blend considered one of the “big guns” in many integrative pathogen-clearing protocols. It combines Cinnamon, Clove and Oregano (three powerful botanicals traditionally used for antimicrobial, antibacterial and antifungal support) in a liposomal formulation designed to enhance absorption and delivery and work on an intracellular level.

This is the broader antimicrobial of our two formulas and is generally chosen when the primary focus is SIBO, Candida/yeast, dysbiosis, persistent microbial imbalance, or biofilm support. It's also used by some integrative practitioners as part of broader protocols for chronic or difficult-to-address infections, including Lyme.

One reason this combination has received attention is laboratory research from Johns Hopkins researchers showing that essential oils from oregano, cinnamon bark and clove bud had strong activity against stationary-phase Borrelia burgdorferi, including activity against biofilm-like microcolonies. Importantly, this was laboratory research rather than a clinical trial in people.

Why These Ingredients?

Cinnamon
Cinnamon contains naturally occurring compounds, particularly cinnamaldehyde, that have been extensively investigated for antimicrobial and antifungal activity. Cinnamon essential oil has also demonstrated activity against Borrelia persister forms and biofilm-like aggregates in laboratory research.

Clove
Clove is naturally rich in eugenol and has a long history of traditional use for digestive and microbial support. Research has demonstrated antibacterial and antifungal properties, and clove bud oil was one of the essential oils showing activity against stationary-phase Borrelia burgdorferi in laboratory testing.

Oregano
Oregano is one of the most widely used botanical antimicrobials in integrative gut protocols. Its naturally occurring compounds, including carvacrol, have demonstrated antibacterial and antifungal activity and are frequently used in protocols focused on intestinal microbial balance, bacterial overgrowth and yeast.

Why Liposomal?

Liposomal delivery surrounds active compounds with phospholipids and is designed to support their stability and absorption through the gastrointestinal tract and reach the cells on an intracellular level.

Because Cinnamon, Clove and Oregano contain powerful plant compounds and volatile oils, putting them into a liposomal formulation provides a different delivery approach than simply taking the herbs or essential oils alone.

These formulations are made by Doctor Inspired Formulations, a reputable professional supplement company known and trusted by health practitioners for its commitment to quality and effective, practitioner-grade formulations.

WHO IS THIS FORMULA BEST FOR?

Choose the Cinnamon, Clove & Oregano Blend if your primary focus is:

• SIBO or bacterial overgrowth
• Candida or stubborn yeast overgrowth
• Gut dysbiosis and microbial imbalance
• Persistent bloating associated with suspected microbial imbalance
• Biofilm-focused microbial protocols
• A broader-spectrum botanical antimicrobial cleanse
• Incorporating botanical antimicrobials into an integrative Lyme or chronic-infection protocol

Biofilms are protective matrices produced by microbial communities that can make organisms more difficult to reach. Cinnamon, Clove and Oregano contain compounds being studied for antimicrobial and biofilm-disrupting activity, which is one reason these botanicals are frequently incorporated into integrative microbial-balancing protocols.

Because broad-spectrum botanical antimicrobials may also affect the intestinal microbiome, I recommend supporting the gut during and following a cleanse.

My accompanying cleanse instructions will include information on supporting detox pathways and rebuilding and supporting the gut and microbiome.

CINNAMON, CLOVE & OREGANO BLEND VS. THE ARTEMISININ BLEND

SIBO → Cinnamon, Clove & Oregano
This is the more targeted choice when the goal is broad botanical antimicrobial support and bacterial balance within the intestinal tract.

Candida / Yeast → Cinnamon, Clove & Oregano
Cinnamon, Clove and Oregano are widely used for their antifungal and antimicrobial properties and are frequently incorporated into natural Candida and microbial-balancing protocols.

Parasites → Artemisinin, Clove & Black Walnut
The Artemisinin formula is the more parasite-focused of the two. Artemisinin has recognized antiparasitic activity, while Black Walnut and Clove have a long history of inclusion in traditional herbal parasite-cleansing protocols.

Lyme & Tick-Borne Co-Infections → Both May Be Considered
The two formulas provide different botanical approaches and may be combined or sequenced within an integrative protocol. Cinnamon, Clove and Oregano have demonstrated activity against Borrelia burgdorferi persister forms and biofilm-like aggregates in laboratory research, while Artemisinin has been investigated for activity against protozoal organisms, including certain Babesia species.
